Muddy Superbowl Sunday

Yeah, I'm a dude. Turn on the game. Go Colts!
And I can basically sit up all by myself. Enough with the pictures, give me more toys!!

It's been snowing and raining...a lot...here. Thank you El Nino (that's spanish for "The Nino"). Anyway, it's been really wet and cold, and John hasn't had much of a chance to work on the shop, so it was not raining this morning, and he decided to get out there and do some work before it started precipitating again. Well, because he is lazy, he wanted to move his truck (loaded with plywood for the roof) just *a little* closer to his work area. So the truck slides in the mud a little, and he thinks (erroneously) that "I'll just drive a little further down the yard and turn around". Yeah, so he got the truck stuck. Reaaaaallllly stuck. And being John, he can't let anything go, he stews about it all day, and keeps going out there to get it out. It was buried up to the axles! But he did finally get it out, just in time for the game to start. I went out to turn the compost pile and investigate the damage (that's the reason for the pitchfork). Those ruts are about 18 inches deep. The good news...no need to buy a tiller for a garden, it's already taken care of!

Lola surveying the damage. Shockingly, she was the little lady and walked *around* the mud piles. Mitsy however ran through there at full speed. You could hear the "slorping" sound of her paws as she was running. She had an unfortunate encounter with the hose afterward.

The aftermath. The inside of the truck was nearly as dirty as the outside. I took the time to grab a beer and the video camera, but I got out there too late, he already had it unstuck. Damnit. (Lisa: John says that maybe if you had a 4x4 Jeep, then you could have this much fun too. Ha!)

On Saturday JM and I went to the boat show in Tulsa, a Myers family tradition. He had a great time and was all smiles all day long.

Here is Scott telling a story that Mark, Dad, and even JM are enraptured in. I think it had something to do with beer bottles and tiki torches.

No ladies, sorry, Kendall isn't available anymore.

Dava and John Milo and I. She had him cracking up laughing, it was pretty adorable. Yes, that's Mark in the background, no doubt he is intexticated.
The whole gang! Plus Jimmy Dear. He was basically a surrogate brother anyway. Like I needed someone else to beat the ever-living shit out of me! He did a pretty good job on both accounts :)
